Looking for an super e-commerce category planner, to work for a leading retail brand.

You will assist the Catalogue Manager to develop, drive and direct the e-commerce category proposition plans. These will meet sales, margin and market share targets. Manage the production plans for your category, keeping in line with corporate and multichannel development objectives and brand strategy.

Responsibilities

Provide suggestions and analysis to grow/decrease the product offer with a view to extended ranges, maximising sales and profit by developing ' best in category' offers;

Accountable and responsible for incremental sales participation and outcome for pages, ranges and categories featured.

Instrumental in balancing category objectives in line with work with Category Marketing team


Build a category plan for annual catalogue activity - seasonality, range extensions opportunities;

Develop based on customer insight, previous experience, market trends a detailed catalogue category and flow rationale - flexibility to upweight/downweight based on seasonal relevance;

Determine appropriate cross-selling opportunities for catalogue inclusion - ensure relevance, upselling opportunities and increase in customer orders - driving higher overall catalogue conversion rates.

Instigate category marketing meetings to determine category catalogue objectives and develop into a brief. Assume responsibility for approval of all relevant category pages and messaging that appears in the catalogue.

Drive data consistency within PCMS for catalogue content at specific sub-category level - consistent F&B's, catalogue relevant imagery, photographic consistency etc

Sign-off category briefs on behalf of Category Marketing teams. Approve all category product catalogue pages for content and creativity, ensuring that it meets the brief and adheres to catalogue and brand guidelines, commercial direction, accuracy and legal requirements.

Recommend changes to category content for future catalogue editions based on overall product/page sales performance- action appropriately.

Fundamental design changes to a specific category which affects the overall creative execution/customer journey within the catalogue would need to be agreed by the Catalogue Manager before action.
