This a fantastic opportunity for a Web Manager to join the passionate team at our Derby based client, a leading supplier of miniature collectibles.

The successful candidate will be a dynamic and positive professional with effective analytical and problem solving skills to implement changes and improvements to the company's websites.

You will be a technically skilled individual and will take responsibility for development of the websites and their functionality. The role involves management of a web developer, web assistant and web administrator, but the successful applicant will need to be “hands on”, so proficiency with ASP.NET, HTML, SEO, CSS, SQL, using Visual Studio.NET will be required.

Job responsibilities and key tasks:

Development & Design:
Technical development - Develop and/or refine technical aspects of website using agreed methods, technologies and standards to meet agreed marketing objectives and timescales. Ensure all development is fully documented or procedurised.
Creative development - Create/edit HTML, graphic and Flash elements for website, including special promotions, graphic elements for new features, general layout and page templates. Apply relevant online and traditional marketing and copywriting principles to the web.
Test/Usability - Implement and follow test procedures, access changes for usability and overall customer experience from the customer perspective.

Project Management:
Standards - Ensure effective design & development, adhere to company standards, web standards and marketing techniques (SEO etc.).
Specification - Draw up spec’s for design and development, by working with key stakeholders. Manage implementation of the specification through the Web department.
Deadlines - Manage the department and resources to meet deadlines.

Maintenance:
Regular updates - Oversee the annual update and monthly special offers.
Content - Implement systems to ensure content is managed and kept up to date and relevant.

Administration:
Provide management and departmental reports, showing key web metrics (non marketing), and exception reports.

Staff management:
Company’s Procedures - Ensure staff adhere to the Company’s procedures.
Staff Appraisals - Manage an effective appraisals scheme. Carry out staff appraisals at regular intervals.
Discipline - Instigate disciplinary procedures where necessary.
Risk Assessment - Carry out risk assessments within your department as per procedure.
Other Management tasks - Salary reviews, recruitment interviews, personnel records, organise overtime/holidays etc.
