Terms and conditions for Direct Recruiters

By the term "You", "Your" or "Employer" we refer to any individual, company or organisation that is involved in the origination/creation/production of design, print and advertising or marketing material or web based media in any form. These include any design and advertising/marketing communications companies/agencies or any other company or organisation who may have the requirement for/and would employ (or offer work) in a permanent/freelance/contract capacity to an individual within the creative marketplace.

To post a single job or project is charged at £125 per post. Payment is required from You online via WorldPay. On a successful transaction the job: will be sent automatically in an email job alert to all matching candidates on our database; will be displayed on our jobs page for 60 days, after which time the job will automatically be deleted by our system.

Any job posted may be edited by You as required throughout the 60 day period.

Job credits (buying a pack of jobs) may be purchased in advance at a discounted rate. The discount rate applicable respective of the number of jobs purchased. Job credits are purchased online via WorldPay. Once the job pack buying process has been complete the respective job credits will be then added to Your account with the following terms: all job credits purchased can be posted at any time - the credits do not expire after a given time; job credits may be topped up at any time after the originally purchased number of credits have been used; job credits may be used for the posting of jobs only and may not be traded or refunded after use;

All jobs posted must contain content relevant to the purposes of recruiting/hiring/offering work on a freelance or contract basis for a candidate who is looking for opportunities within the creative sector. Examples of the type of category suitable for posting include (not exhaustive): web/flash design, graphic/print design, new media/media/digital, 3d design, interior/spatial design, fashion/retail design, copywriting/editing

Any job posted which contains language to be deemed racist, defamatory, obscene, obusive or threatening or contrary to the terms and conditions hereby written will be removed immediately.

Should you wish to contact a potential candidate you must first register an account and pay for CV access. This service requiries payment via WorldPay via credit/debit card. CV access will be granted immediately on a successful transaction. Upon successful transaction full login access will be available to:
  • a candidates personal contact information (i.e. telephone number, email address and personal URL). Note that a candidates actual address will not be available;
  • a candidates work experience, eduation and reference fields;
Once the period of CV access that has been purchased by You has expired the aforementioned fields will be hidden again; as required CV access may be pruchased/topped up.

Note that any information provided for a candidate is strictly confidential.

Viewcreatives.com tries to ensure that all candidates advertised on the site are available for work. However, viewcreatives.com cannot guarantee that all candidates are available for new job or career opportunities at the time you contact them.

If you contact a candidate (or candidates) on the site you are kindly asked to notify us if you offer any candidate a permanent position. Viewcreatives.com cannot be held accountable for any e-mails sent to you from candidates.

2006 Age Discrimination Act and Recruitment

On 1st October 2006, a new Age Discrimination Act came into force. This effects the content you use when posting your jobs on viewcreatives and how we are allowed to process information about our users. In short, a persons years of experience and their age are not longer displayed.

The main issue with any new Act is that there is no case law in place. Therefore we all need to be mindful in these early stages until more detailed guidelines are published.

A brief summary of the new Act (recruitment)
  • Make your decisions about recruitment on the skills required for the vacancy. Provide training to help those making judgements to be objective and avoid stereotyping people because of their age.
  • Remove dates of birth from your application forms.
  • Dont ask for GCSE results - as this differentiates between a GCSE generation, and an O Level generation.

  • Avoid using language that might imply that you would prefer someone of a certain age, such as mature, young or energetic.
  • Dont ask anything age-related in interview at all.


Shortlisting and Record Keeping

At each stage of the recruitment process, check that no bias, deliberate or unintentional, has influenced decisions. In all organisations this check should be carried out by someone who has not been involved in the shortlisting. In all instances, you should record your decisions and retain these records, ideally for 12 months.
